stellavision
the bio...

Stellavision has had considerable local Bay Area show experience, having played California coastal venues from Santa Cruz to San Francisco. Likened to the sound of bands like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Toad the Wet Sprocket, the Police, and Train, Stellavision offers a unique rock and power-pop blend that emphasizes finely crafted songwriting backed up by mesmerizing hooks and strong harmonies. Amidst a sea of cookie-cutter alternarock bands, Stellavision reminds you that substance still matters.

Stellavision band members began playing together in the early '90s at the University of California, Santa Cruz and the band went through typical name changes before settling on Stellavision in 1998. This coincided with the release of its second album which was recorded, mixed and mastered all in home studios. The band's focus is creating inventive rock/pop music and distributing it by any means possible: traditional gigging, radio, record stores and direct-to-fans via the Internet.

The band's their latest CD release is Moxie.
